Twilight Music “Collabs: Live at Garcia’s (LP)

Collabs: Live at Garcia’s at The Cap by Twilight Muse mostly slaps. Like, 85% slap. The vibes are there, the energy is on point, and the guest list is stacked. It’s not all fire, and that’s okay.

Living for the City” goes HARD. Randolph’s pedal steel and G. Love’s harmonica go full battle mode and Twilight Muse hangs in the pocket like champs. It’s messy in the best way. “Lady Marmalade” is fun, but it kind of loses its shape under the weight of all the brass and vocal interplay.

The new video for “The Mayor” is dope—George Porter Jr. is vibing, the band is tight, and the energy feels natural. It’s got replay value. The mix isn’t perfect on every track though – still, when it hits, it hits. “Sneakin’ Sally” is nasty good. The Soul Rebels bring the bounce. And the whole thing feels like you’re at the party—not watching it from the outside. Definitely worth a spin (or three).
