Hi Forts! Thank you for being here!

No problem at all, thanks for having us! We’re stoked to be here! Live from the couch… in our house! Cashville babyyyy!

How do you guys come up with the name, Forts Like Vana? 

Ummm, it’s complicated dude.. we needed a name so we could start booking shows and all that stuff, so came up with this one, off a super random sentence. That’s our classy version. Plus, it’s a secret.

What is your favorite holiday film? 

Diego says he doesn’t believe in Christmas because he never grew up in a house that had a chimney. He’s gotta fair point tho.. like how would Santa get in, plus with Ring and all the alarm systems out now. Holy buckets. But we’re trying to get him to watch the classic ones like Die Hard, Elf, and all those ones. Hopefully, there will be one day when he gets all that “hollying and jollyin”.

What is the best gift you have ever given?

One time I was living in this house and my roommate’s feet smelled really really bad. So we got him Febreze and that puppy did the job. The best gift that kept on giving TO this day.

What is the best gift you have ever received? 

Our neighbors across the street brought over cookies to us today for the holidays and we thought that was wild. They put up with us every day and listen to us jam so the fact that they did this kind gesture was badass. Now we have to figure out how to bake some good cookies so we can return their container but Derek makes a mean waffle so we might surprise them.

Would you rather spend the holidays in the mountains or at the beach?

Which one are you buying for us? We’ll take either of those. We were just in Florida this month shooting our new video and got to enjoy some Coronas by the palm trees when we were hanging out. We could so get used to warm weather in December.

When do you feel like you are at your personal best? 

If we have gotten 7 hours of sleep, a stomach full of Guada, a couple of brewskies in the system, and on stage, that’s when we’re at our best. No matter where we are we turn it into a party.

What is your favorite holiday treat?

Mariah Carey with a side of fries. I don’t want a lot for Christmas, but there is just one thing I need. Derek’s favorite is a hot toddy.
