Hi Grable, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Tell us about your new album #ITHINKIMFINE!
I can tell you that I’m excited about it! Oh my, it’s my debut album, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road in the making of this album, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Oh it has been a journey, there have been some hills and valleys, but overall it was a wonderful experience. The biggest challenge I faced was resources, because I’m a one woman crew at this point, so having all the programs and equipment was the biggest struggle. A lot of late nights went into this album that’s for sure!
We’re big fans already! Tell us a little bit about the process of making this album.
When I started writing my debut single “Traffic” I had no idea I was going to make a whole album, but the songs just kept coming. Everything I was writing started to tell a story about the struggles I faced during isolation due to the pandemic. When I realized these songs were a story about all the times (I thought I was fine but I wasn’t sure) I knew I had to name the album #ITHINKIMFINE.
What were you like growing up? How has your background shaped the music you’re making today?
Oh, I was a shy kid growing up! I was always writing and daydreaming, and hiding out in my room listening to music. I was absolutely obsessed with the act of making music, the process of creating has always been very therapeutic for me, and helped me deal with the hard times I faced growing up. I just think it’s so beautiful to create a musical piece, and that the meaning of songs can change, depending on who is listening.
Thanks for speaking with us today! Where can we check out your music and find you online?
