Today we are chatting with AJ Raggs. Great to catch up. Tell us what you have been working on so far in the new year!

Right now I’m saving up as much as I can to finally make the move to Nashville!! I’m super excited for it and am planning to take the plunge before the summer!

We know you have some new music on the way – what can you share with us about it?

This year, my goal is to release as many new singles as I can! I’m getting into gear for the first one. It’s a super fun party/love song that I’m hoping everyone will jump and dance and sing along to!!

Has there been a moment where you doubted your ability to make music that sticks out in your mind? How did you overcome it?

I’d definitely say I’ve doubted that this is the right career for me. I love making music, and by God’s Grace have gotten some cool connections over the past few years, but sometimes it just feels like it’s going nowhere. The only way I know how to overcome those feelings is by letting go and letting God. When I’m able to do that, I’m much more productive anyway!!

Who or what inspires you in your day-to-day life?

My colleagues. My songwriting friends and all their successes make me wanna go even harder so that I can join them!

Where do you see yourself in five years? What’s the dream?

Ideally? I’ll be singing to a sold out crowd at Madison Square Garden, and they’ll be singing right along with me. To me, when the crowd knows your song, that’ll the “made-it” moment haha.
