BRIAN TELL AND THE LOVEMAKERS

Do you set New Year’s resolutions? If so, would you share one with us?

At this point the country is in a really bad place. I’m just hoping we can make it through the pandemic safely, and get back to normal life.

When creating the EP – how did you decide what songs would make the cut? Any plans to release a full album?

I originally started this project as an experiment, separate from my band American Fever. Just wanted to try out some new sounds, so I worked with my friend and producer Ben Oastler. We really didn’t think too hard, just worked out a few arrangements and went into the studio to record. I would like to release another set of singles this year, but I honestly don’t know about a full length album. The landscape has changed and I would rather turn out a few tracks at a time to keep it fresh.

When things open back up more – do you have plans to get out and tour?

It’s tough to say at this point. I’ve been out in Colorado during the pandemic and I’m not sure what the New York scene will look like after all this. It would be great to get out and play live with this band, because we didn’t have a chance to. I’ll have to keep you posted on that.

2020 was a crazy year for everyone. What are you most looking forward to this year?

I’m looking forward to seeing live music again and going to bars! It’s been an insane year, so just can’t wait until the pandemic is over.

Tell us your favorite musician/band and why!

Well, I would have to say The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan. To me The Stones are the great band of all time and are still going. I saw them play a few years ago and it blew my mind. And there is no comparison to Bob Dylan. I know it’s cliche to say those answers, but that’s what I believe.

Where can we get the EP and follow you online?

The music will be on all major outlets, but definitely Apple Music and Spotify. Please follow us on Instagram @briantellandthelovemakers. Thanks so much for having me.
